Spanning a successful career of 35+ years in the Medical Devices industry, Dan Mihai has held leadership and senior management roles with companies such as ZOLL Medical, Philips Healthcare, Baxter International, GN Otometrics, etc. where global teams under his leadership developed and commercialized high-end products such as the ZOLL X-Series, ProPaq & AED-3 monitor defibrillators, Philips iCT series, Baxter PCA, Syringe & volumetric infusion pumps, and the groundbreaking ICS CHARTR VNG with video eye tracking — just to name a few.
Following his corporate career, Dan has become a serial entrepreneur focusing on developing and commercializing disruptive technologies targeted towards unmet needs in the fringe space straddling medical devices and cloud technologies. The patented MedCLOUDTM platform combines the newest high-performance cloud streaming technologies with state-of-the-art cybersecurity controls and advanced signal processing & biomedical engineering to deliver the world’s first critical care-ready, multi-participant telemedicine platform where real-time patient-sourced waveforms and parameters are presented alongside audio-video telepresence for a seamless, integrated mobile experience – during and after the case.
Dan holds BS/MS degrees in Electronics Engineering & Telecommunications and an MBA degree — graduated with distinction. He is also a certified ISO-13485, ISO-14971, IEC-62304, and SEI-OCTAVE practitioner, and has led several key projects for obtaining NIST FIPS-2 compliance certification for US Military clients in the Medical Devices space. Dan is a prolific inventor with more than 16 US patents to his name, and plans to continue on his path to delivering meaningful innovation to market, save more lives, and make the world a better place.
