Urban Search & Rescue Telemedicine Field Test | Disaster Medical Solutions Training
Ready for Beta site deployment; that is the main takeaway of the latest field test in Jacksonville and PriusMED’s performance therein. Our team had the opportunity to participate in the Disaster Medical Solutions Urban Search & Rescue Training, where we successfully tested the end-to-end telemedicine platform medCLOUD in a dynamic, real-world environment.
Sourced from an AthenaGTX WVSM Pro vital signs monitor, PriusMED was able to demonstrate transmission of parameters, including 12-lead ECG. We deployed our full ecosystem across 5G cellular bridges, 5GHz, and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks to evaluate performance in austere conditions:
AthenaGTX WVSM Pro transmitted vitals and 12-lead ECGs via medBRIDGE, our hardware interface that enables seamless data flow into the system.
medCLOUD captured and stored all data for real-time and retrospective access, post-case review.
medTALK streamed real-time video and audio from iPads, iPhones, and Android devices.
medASSIST allowed us to simulate hospital or physician-side interaction, enabling remote clinicians to live-view vitals, video, and provide real-time support.
5GHz Wi-Fi delivered excellent streaming performance. 2.4GHz provided acceptable quality for video/audio where bandwidth was limited. End-to-end workflows from theater to clinical support were validated successfully. The field test was a critical step in proving medCLOUD’s reliability for emergency response, disaster medicine, and forward-deployed care.
